This is my first income report of this blog. I have started with free blogs to make money. This domain has been started with the money made from free blogs. I did not participate in many of the programs except sponsored reviews and adsense. I should add affiliate marketing to add fuel to the blog and increase my income.

I am planning to apply for Market Leverage. They got very nice offers which has best conversions . When it comes to advertising I did not start advertising my blog. But I am trying to bring PR 5 links from other blogs. The blog has income of over more than $150. But I only run natural money makers for the blog like Adsense and Kontera. The income I have generated from my network of free blogs at blogger. I will start accept sponsorships after six months.I was busy with some work this many days.I am determined to write at least one post every day. I will keep you updated with latest money making ideas in the coming days.

Joining in to google adsense is free. Google Adsense is the successful money making opportunity on internet. It is the first money making opportunity for most of the people on internet. As far as I think google is the master of all money making opportunities on internet. Most of the people make biggest income only with Google adsense. There is no limit for our earnings. It is not easy to make money with Google adsense. It is very hard to get in to business of making money with it. But once we know how to make money with it then we can start maximizing the income by implementing new strategies.

At first we need to have a blog to participate in their program. It may be either our own blog or the sub-domain of free service like blogger or wordpress. I have applied for google adsense with blogger hosted blog. If you don’t have one you can sign up for blogger and apply for google adsense. Signing up for blogger or wordpress is free. Before applying for adsense your blog should be filled with some content or with few posts.

Choose Right Ad-Format:-

Placing right ad-format is important while making money with google adsense. For example in my previous free blogs. I have choosen to place 728×90 leader board on top of my blog. It worked very well for me. I got maximum clicks on leader board than any other ad-format. Not only for me it will work out for most of the people if they place leader board on their blog on top. The reason is people notice the ads very easily than any other right ad-format. They need not scroll down for viewing ads. It is given that we can place maximum three ad units, three link units, three referral units and two search boxes per blog.

Choose Right Colour:-

Choosing right color is as important as choosing right ad-format. Ads that match the background of the blog will give positive results than any other color. Optimize well for getting better results. Ad-formats with no border will perform well on any blog. Later I will tell you how to change the colour of ad formats.

Placing In Right Position:-

After completing the above steps now we need to place the Ad so that it will start make money for us. At first I have discussed that I will place 728×90 leader board. So I will take leader board and place right at the top of the blog and see for one week how it is performing. If I place in footer instead of on top of the blog then it will produce much better results because here the chance of noticing the ads is very less. If the person is too lazy and unable to scroll down then the ad won’t get noticeable. If you place the leader board at top of the blog then it will produce results because even if he is lazy he can see the ads easily. The below heat map is provided by google for its publishers.

It is very helpful and understandable to publishers. It helps publishers to place ads according to heat map. The position where there is dark orange color produces best results than the lighter color.

Suppose if I get best results for leader board placement at top then I will not change it position because it is performing well than its other position at footer. So I will concentrate on other ad formats to make it work. I will leave the leader board as it is on top because it started making me money online.

So for each and every week see the results of the ads performing on your blog. But keep on changing the ad-format, color and placement. If one of the positions of your blog produces best results then don’t change it. This way it works out. In the next post we discuss few more things about adsense.

Domain:-

Bring the domain at www.namecheap.com . The domain name should be impressive. It should drag the attraction of the visitor. What ever you name your domain it should reflect the content in your site or blog. It is important to bring domain at registrar because you will be the only owner of that domain. Suppose if you bring your domain at any hosting service then you are not allowed to take your domain from them at least for three months. To avoid this problems bring the domain at registrars like namecheap.This thing only happens if you don’t like the hosting provider service. It happened with me.

Hosting:-

Bring hosting with greater uptime .Even if you blog regularly, have great content and don’t have greater uptime then probably you are going to loose. Bring your hosting at www.bluehost.com or www.hostgator.com . Both of them are best in market. In beginning I don’t have proper knowledge about hosting so I bought hosting at www.ipower.com so I faced some problems like no greater uptime. Bluehost and hostgator are best in terms of customer service. I have enquired about them in forums. While hosting your blog you should know about the service provider from the forums. This is must because you must not invest money into hosting blindly.

Design:-

After bringing hosting install wordpress. Hostgator and bluehost have one click installation so anybody can install wordpress script easily with out having much knowledge. It costs too much for installing the wordpress script and database. People charge $25-$50 for doing those things. So if you bring hosting with one click installation then you gonna save money. If you don’t have knowledge about html then need not worry.

There is lot of themes online. Just search for it on google. Choose the best you like and upload it via FTP client. For wordpress it is must to upload plugins. Go to the wordpress blog and there you will find plugin directory with screen shots. You have the choose the useful plugins with more advantages. If you have blog at www.blogger.com then there are many tutorials to learn blogger. Blogger is easy than wordpress. Anybody can learn blogger with out much ease than wordpress. There is sky and ground difference between blogger and wordpress.WordPress need regular backups but we don’t need in the case of blogger. But wordpress is professional when compared to blogger. Serious bloggers use wordpress as their blogging platform. But most of the beginners use blogger as their blogging platform because they don’t have enough money to start their own self hosted blog.

It is not great to start blog but we have to do many more things. Millions of blogs started each and every day 90% of them fail and only 10% of them succeed only because they don’t have proper design, content and improper traffic. Some of the few tips should be followed so that we get best results in traffic.

Write:-

Content plays a key role in development of any blog. Each and every day write and publish at least one post of about 500 words. Post at least 10-15 posts per week about 500 words. Some people like steve pavlina publish very long posts of about 2000-5000 words. The advantage of short posts is the user will visit regularly. But by writing long posts the user will take some thing from your blog. Both of them have their own advantage. But most of the people are interested to study short posts. Only few of them would like to read long posts only if it is interesting and give key information about anything.Don’t blog for money, blog for providing some information,give verdict on certain product or post a news item which should be latest and interesting.

Ping:-

After each and every update don’t forget to ping the blog. They are many ping services available online like Pingoat, Autopinger etc. But for wordpress blogs there is one solution. Just download the Maxblog press ping optimizer and we need not ping the blog after every update. It will take the ping automatically after complete update. We can enter the URL’s of ping services in the column provided in maxblogpress ping optimizer section.

Link Exchange:-

Visit other blogs daily and ask for link exchange politely. The link should be related to your blog’s category. Don’t beg for link exchange. If the other blog likes our blog content then they will link our blog definitely. It is best source for getting inbound traffic. If our blog is not indexed in google due to inbound traffic it will get indexed quickly.

Participate In forums:-

Be an active user in forum. Some people need answers about certain things. Give advice to them with link in our signature. Don’t use forum especially for promoting the link. This may get us banned from forum. If our answers are good and right to the point then they will click the link in signature definitely. We have to use anchor text link in signature. The anchor text should be impressive and should drag the attention of visitor.

Comment:-

Visit other blogs and comment to the topics regularly. If we are good commentator then our blog name will be listed in the top commentators section of that blog. It is best way to get some inbound traffic and exposure of your blog.

Socialize:-

After publishing the article we should not forget to submit the stories to social networking sites like digg, stumble upon, reddit, Slashdot etc. There is chance of getting tons of traffic from this sites. The more good we write the more chances of getting traffic from this sites. And once we become popular because of these sites then people would like visit our site often because of fresh and interesting content. One has to put some effort to get traffic from these sites. There is a key to get succeed in this sites which I will tell later.

Submit Articles:-

Write articles regularly and submit to article directories like ezine articles and many other directories. As this have many chances to bring much traffic to our blog.

After following these things our blog will be grown up to maximum extent. These things should be followed on daily basis at least for two or three months. Another way to bring great traffic is through SEO which we will discuss later in this blog.
